Visita a los Saltos de Mocona
Moconá Jumps are located 337 km from the city of Posadas and 322 km from Iguazu. It is one of the great landscapes of the province of Misiones, a geological fault where Yabotí, Pepirí Guazú, Uruguay, Serapio and Calixto rivers meet.
This incredible jump is the result of a break in the mantle of basalt massif of Brasilia. Right where then run the Uruguay River, there was the "crack" of more than 3 km long and 120 km depth that is where today the river falls creating one of the most beautiful landscapes of Misiones.
When the river is low enough, you can appreciate the full extent, countless jumps up to 20 meters high.
Important: The observation of Moconá jumps depend on the height of the Uruguay River because at times the river level grows and does not allow to contemplate in all its glory this natural spectacle.
The route is extensive, it will be about 330km of distance that will be done in about 4:30 hours per section.
