We spent an afternoon in the countryside visiting the main facilities of Estancia 25 de Mayo, where you can enjoy a chat around the stove, to learn about local history, life in Patagonian ranches and life of the pioneers of El Calafate. There is a demonstration of herding and shearing in the old warehouse. The tour continues along a flora path, where different native plants can be seen to arrive and enjoy the view of the hills, the Calafate stream and a tasting of mulled wine and candied lamb. The walk continues to the organic orchard and the old facilities that surround the main part of the ranch. The visit continues with a Show dinner at the Quincho Restaurant, where you can enjoy the traditional Patagonian lamb and the folkloric show with local artists.

El Calafate: Day Trip to the spectacular Petrified Forest La Leona
Early in the morning we depart from Calafate. After traveling about 30 km to the east, we will take the Mythical Route 40 bordering, for a large part of our route, the eastern margin of Lake Argentino and the shores of the Santa Cruz River. Then, we will meet the La Leona River, which gives its name to the inn and hotel of the La Estela ranch. There we will make a stop to learn a little more about the history of the La Leona parador and hotel where, whoever wishes, can enjoy a hot infusion with homemade cakes.
We will leave for El Chaltén and, after touring the Chorrillo del Salto about 4 km from the town and having lunch in La Tapera, after 45 minutes of moderate walking, we arrive at the Mirador de los Cóndores, a panoramic point from where you can see the main surrounding mountains, the Las Vueltas river valley and the town of El Chaltén.

Humahuaca Quebrada Tour with Hornocal
We will leave the city of Salta and begin the journey to the 14-color hill (known as the Serranías del Hornocal) to enter the province of Jujuy, where we will visit the Quebrada de Humahuaca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will pass through the village of Volcano, Purmamarca where we will find the majestic Cerro de los 7. Colores; Tilcara; Humahuaca, the largest town in the ravine; Uquía, a small town where the ancient paintings of the Arcabucero Angels reside; Huacalera, where we set foot on the imaginary cut of the Tropic of Capricorn and finally, La Palette del Pintor in Maimará.
Once you arrive in Uquía, you will transfer to a 4x4 vehicle where you will begin the road to Hornocal to enjoy those magnificent panoramic views. Back you make a stop in Humahuaca for 20 minutes. It is recommended to bring food for lunch as there is no time to stop at a restaurant in Humahuaca. Return to Salta is under way.
