✅to the only pagan temple of Garni. The structure was built by king Tiridates I in the first century AD as a temple to the sun god Mihr. After Armenia's conversion to Christianity in the early fourth century, it was converted into a royal summer house of Khosrovidukht, the sister of Tiridates III.
✅ Geghard - “Ayrivank” (“cave monastery”). The main chapel was built in 1215, the monastery complex was founded in the 4th century by Gregory the Illuminator at the site of a sacred spring inside a cave. The monastery had thus been originally named Ayrivank, meaning "the Monastery of the Cave".
✅ Arch of Charents. From there opens a beautiful view to Mount Ararat.

In the territory of the reserve, a 6-kilometer hike awaits us to the mysterious Vahagn waterfall hidden in the rocks and fabulous Astghik waterfall. In the ancient Armenian mythology, the Goddess of beauty and fertility Astghik was the wife of the God of fire and war Vahagn.
The hike is of medium difficulty. A professional guide will help us overcome difficulties along the way.
It is desirable that your shoes should be non-slip and sportswear, clothing should be comfortable. It is better to have a hat and sunglasses with You. Be sure to take 1 liter of water and food for one day.
After visiting the waterfalls, UAZ will take us along dizzying mountain paths to the Akhjots monastery complex (the 13th century).
