Khor Virap, Areni, Noravank, Goris (overnight), Tatev, Karahunj (Zorats Karer)
The first destination of our trip is one of the must see places in Armenia - Khor Virap.
The next stop will be Monastery Noravank, which dates back to XIII—XIV centuries. After visiting these two monastries we will leave for Goris for overnight.
After the breakfast we will visit Karahunj Observatory, also known as Zorats Karer or Zorats Kar is a megalithic composition of Bronze Age tombs and over 220 standing stones.
The next destination is another famous monument of medieval Armenian architecture - Tatev Monastery, which was built in the 9th-13th centuries. In translation from the old Armenian (grabar) "tatev" means "give wings". Thanks to the construction of the Wings of Tatev, the longest cable car in the world (5.7 km), the complex has become one of the most visited places in Armenia.
On our way back to Yerevan we will have a short stop in Areni winery, where you have an opportunity to taste armenian wine and get acquainted with the history of wine making in Armenia.

Are you ready for a crazy off-road trip to Smbataberd?
The walls of the fortress with their gates remind the city of Ani. A beautiful and unrepeatable road awaits us before reaching the impregnable fortress of Prince Smbat. During this off-road tour, we will also visit Zorats Cathedral, which is the only one nowadays with its unique history and structure. It is the only one whose tabernacle has a special height, because it was a holy place where soldiers going to war entered on horses to receive a blessing. This tour brings together the past and the present, traveling through the 5th-14th centuries in a special current vehicle. After getting your dose of adrenaline during the off-road tour, wrap up the day with tea/coffee and sweets.
Tour to Khor Virap, Geghard and Garni Temple, Group 8 hours
An hour drive will bring us to Khor Virap Monastery located in the Ararat plain situated about 100 meters away from the closed Turkish-Armenian border (sealed by barbed wire fencing) and defended by Russian military establishments.
Heading to south east of Armenia our 1st stop is the legendary Monastery of the Spear at Geghard Monastery. This UNESCO World Heritage site was carved into the rock to house one of the most cherished relics of Christianity.
We continue our drive to Garni village and stop in a family restaurant to have our lunch there and try lavash(flatbread made in a tandoor).
We visit Garni Temple, a first century A. D. Graeco-Roman pagan temple probably devoted to Mithra. We may hear Armenian visitors give an impromptu choral concert.
