Hardys: Tasting in the Dark: A Wine Sensory Experience
Your Tasting in the Dark Experience will begin at the Hardys Tintara Cellar Door. You will meet your host at the Cellar Door where you will be guided to our Fortified Barrel Hall. This room is on the bottom level of the original winery, and maintains a constant temperature of 18 degrees Celsius, so make sure to bring a jacket in the colder months. Your host will then guide you through the wine tasting process and describe what role each of the senses play during the process. With the lights turned down, blindfolds on, and sipping from black wine glasses, you will discover what happens when you remove the sense of sight, and understand how it influences your wine tasting experience. This tasting is about enhancing your wine knowledge and gaining a deeper understanding of your palate.
