We are starting our journey with a visit to Prohodna Cave, one of Bulgaria’s most iconic natural wonders, located near the village of Karlukovo in the dramatic Iskar Gorge. Often referred to as “The Eyes of God”, the cave is renowned for two large, eye-shaped holes in its ceiling that allow light to stream in, creating an ethereal atmosphere.
Next, drive to Saeva Dupka Cave, a spectacular underground world famous for its rich formations and excellent acoustics. The cave offers a series of chambers decorated with colorful stalactites and stalagmites, each with poetic names and formations resembling natural sculptures.
