Guided Kayak trip around Green Cathedral outside Kampot, Sunset
Favorite days in Cambodia was spent kayaking through the Green Cathedral in Kampot. A unique experience that really allowed us to surround ourselves with nature and appreciate the Cambodian jungle.
I know what you must be thinking, "You can kayak through a Cathedral?" and the answer is yes, but not the type of Cathedral you're thinking of. It's not a large stone building that is used as a house of worship, but instead a small river loop trail on the edge of a national park. The sunset view is stunning and peaceful swimming as well.
Private Tour to Beng Mealea Jungle Temple and Koh Ker
You will depart from your hotel in Siem Reap in a private air conditioned car to explore the jungle temple (Beng Mealea) and Koh Ker. You drive to Koh Ker in 2 hours and on your way you see the real Cambodian life, like a local market (you can stop at the market for around 15 minutes), local Khmer houses, and also stop for testing the bamboo sticky rice on the way and rice fields, etc. Limited to 15 persons per car. Kun Khmer is most well known for its kicking technique, which generates power from hip rotation rather than snapping the leg. Kun Khmer consists of four types of strikes: punches, kicks, elbows, and knee strikes. The clinch is used to wear down the opponent. In the clinch, opponents battle for a dominant position for short-range strikes by way of elbows and knees. Cambodian fighters tend to utilize more elbow strikes than other martial arts in the region. In Kun Khmer, more victories come by way of an elbow technique than any other strike.
