The Base las Torres trek begins by zigzagging through the Asencio Valley (around 90 minutes). Our efforts will be rewarded with a pristine view of Lake Nordenjköld. The guide will make sure to take breaks. The path eventually slopes down, but can go up and down as much as 200 feet because it winds around the mountain along with the rushing river below. After a couple of hours of trekking we will enjoy a well-deserved rest at the Chilean refuge.

We left Santiago at 9:30 to the amazing Valle de Colina Thermas, a true oasis in the heart of the Andes. We arrived around 11:30, taking advantage of the moment when the thermal pools are quieter for a relaxing bath in mineral-rich waters, surrounded by a stunning landscape.
