Cave Of Zeus
Embark on a captivating journey that begins in the cosmopolitan town of Agios Nikolaos and leads to the traditional village of Kritsa, rich in history, myths, and Byzantine charm. Wander through its picturesque alleys and visit an olive oil factory where you’ll enjoy a guided tour, learn about the production process, and taste local olive varieties. Continue through the serene landscapes of holm oaks and the ancient Cypress Forest of Minos as we ascend to the Katharo Plateau at 1250m, a place of natural beauty and home to fossils of the extinct Cretan dwarf hippopotamus. Next, explore the breathtaking Lassithi Plateau, said to be the birthplace of Zeus, once home to over 10,000 windmills and one of Europe’s earliest wind farms. Discover the region’s ancient pottery traditions by crafting your own clay creation to take home. Balos Shared Catamaran Cruise (small groups to 22ppl)

You are the whole day, with your local guide, inside the countryside of Crete. The roads are almost all off road, the chance to see the real inland of Crete! We drive through the mountains towards the grape yards of the wine areas, passing small villages, through a river bed, sheltered by bamboo, a lot of nature. Crossing the river where we may have some water flowing in the months April, May and again from half of September. One of the highlights is a visit of a cave. We stop in a very authentic mountain village, on the square next to the church, for a coffee. We continue our trip along several small villages, on dirt tracks and through the green nature and herbs, passing olive groves and grape fields. We stop for lunch in a very small mountain village with a spectacular beautiful view. After lunch we drive through a mountainous area. On the way down we see a magnificent view of the north coast of Crete.

Koumoulia Ceramics / Pottery Classes
Creating each pot is a unique moment. The ability that clay gives you from a piece of amorphous matter to create objects that will make everyday life more beautiful give it invaluable value. The hours I go to the atelier are for me a source of energy and relaxation, and that’s what I’m looking for those who visit my atelier.
The workshop is located 16 kilometres from Heraklion ( acces only with car ), in a unique location in the nature, with a spectacular view of Cretan mountains. The area around offers many opportunities for walking and visiting the nearby villages.
PRIVATE Spinalonga & Agios Nikolaos & Olive Oil Factory CRETE
With a minibus your Eye Travel guide shows you the Spinalonga island and other interesting places. Our first stop is in Agios Nikolaos where we have a fantastic view over the "Bottomless lake". You have some free time for a coffee, shopping and a stroll along the most eastern main city of Crete.
After passing Elounda it is time for SPINALONGA, the last leper colony of Europe. A typical Cretan fishing boat brings you to the island, this takes no more than 10 minutes. On the island you make a tour.
After finishing the trip on Spinalonga, a fishing boat brings you back to the small village of Plaka. Plaka is a tiny harbor, so the unique opportunity to eat fresh fish.
After our lunch we are heading to an olive oil factory. You get a guided tour through the factory. All facts about olive oil, the pressing methods and grades of olive oil are explained. At the end of the tour you can taste different olive oils and other local products.
Balos Lagoon Kissamos Shared Sailboat Tour Experience
By our sailing boats "Izabela" and "Poseidon" we organise day cruises to Gramvousa and Balos. Our journey starts from Kissamos Port. After about 90 minutes of cruising, we will reach our first destination, the lagoon of Balos, one of the most beautiful beaches over the Europe. The turquoise water invites you to swimming and snorkeling. We will spend next two hours there, while you can enjoy the beach and relax. We will have a pleasure to offer you traditional and light Cretan lunch on board. Our next stop is the island of Imeri Gramvousa. There you can enjoy the beautiful beach and take a bath in the crystal clear water.
On top of the island, you will find an old Venetian Castle. The views from there are really breath taking. Then we will head back. Anytime that the wind will be enough we will be experience sailing. On board you have for your disposal a cabin to rest or sleep, bathroom with shower. We provide snorkeling equipment. Ofered drinks are water, soft drinks, beer and wine.
