Full-Day Santorini Island Trip from Crete
Begin your journey at the departure port, where a kiosk and on-site staff are available to assist you. Present your voucher to receive your ferry ticket, which includes your assigned bus number for arrival in Santorini.
The ferry ride takes approx. 1 hour and 55 minutes to 2 hours and 15 minutes from Heraklion, or about 2 hours and 20 minutes from Rethymno, depending on weather. Upon arrival, staff with signs displaying bus numbers will greet you and guide you to your vehicle.

Our first stop will be a visit to Chania, Crete’s second largest city into the old town within the venetian city walls which is an attractive maze of narrow streets, old mansions and arcades, with mosques and minarets bearing witness to the turkish influence and the carefully laid out new town which is considered to be one of the most beautiful towns in Greece.
The lake of Kournas lies in a valley, in a beautiful area between the hills and the surrounding mountains and is reminiscent of a lake in the Alps. Here you can enjoy your lunch, walk around the lake.
Our last stop will be a short visit to Rethymnon. Shop for antiques and knick-knacks in the narrow street of the old town, to graze up at the turkish minarets and to stroll along the Venetian port down to the fortress and along the golden sandy beach stretching into the distance. Starting early, heading west, we reach the port of Kissamos. Here we take our boat for approximately a 1 hour pleasant sail along the coastline. Arriving in the port of the ex-pirate island of Gramvousa we hear how, during the Turkish occupation, the residents of the island started looting passing boats thus giving the island its pirate reputation. Don’t miss out on a visit to the Venetian castle on top of a steep rock as this is one of the most impressive castles in Greece.
There is plenty of time for swimming or lunch on board. Our boat then departs for the Blue Lagoon of Balos, a shallow and warm water lagoon which brings to mind similar lagoons in the Caribbean. You will be disembarked at a distance of 50 meters from the shore according to the Law , as there will be no approach pier. Balos is one of the most beautiful beaches in the whole world. Enjoy a fantastic swim and relax for approximately 3 hours before boarding for the return sail. An experience to remember a lifetime !

Here you have plenty of time for swimming at the crystal clear waters, tasting the BBQ served on board. The menu includes pork* chop BBQ, greek salad, feta cheese, bread, wine or Fanta and seasonal fruit.(EVERY SUNDAY the dinner is in a tavern we DONT have BBQ on board)
After our short respite, we go back to Elounda.
Then we move to the picturesque town of Agios Nikolaos, where we have our last stop. We have the chance to enjoy our coffee getting a perfect view of the magnificent lake, do our shopping in the traditional local shops and relax for a while before we hit the road for our going back.

Late in the afternoon we will take the same boat to get back to the port of Chora Sfakion where our coach will be waiting for us in order to drive back to Chania .
