Choquequirao Trekking in 4 days
Choquequirao is located in the Southeastern part of the Cusco city, between the department of Cusco and the department of Apurímac; this is a magnificent variant to know instead of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. In a long five days walk, mountains with variety of flora and fauna will be combined. The hike will start with an ascent and then descend toward the high plateau, offering breathtaking views of the snow-capped peaks along the way to the Huchuyqosqo Archaeological Site. This site was once an Inca palace, featuring large structures made of stone and adobe built on the mountaintop, with the sky as a backdrop and streams on either side. After a brief rest and lunch, we’ll continue across open country and then zigzag downhill along one side of the mountain.
