Cotopaxi Volcano: Biking Small Group Full Day Tour
After picking you up at the Meeting point (Foch Plaza) at 8:00 am, you will be driven south down the Pan-American Highway. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to have majestic views of the Avenue of Volcanos, part of the central Ecuadorian Andes!
Our ride will take place in Cotopaxi National Park named after one of the highest active volcanoes on earth, which at just over nineteen thousand feet, is a sight to behold and one of the most stunning in Ecuador.
You will bike next to the volcano’s base at 13.000 feet, on dirt roads and single tracks surrounded by an other-worldly landscape dotted with rocks strew by the volcano during its last major eruption. Depending on your luck in this area, you might see wild animals such as deer, alpacas, lamas, bulls, and horses. The ride is about fifteen miles and mostly on flat terrain.
To finish our day, you will have a picnic with a lovely view of incredible Inca ruins and then return to Quito.

Itinerary:
1. Approx. 2 and a half hours drive.
2. Walk in the jungle approx 45 minutes, you will be given information about traditional plants, and you'll have a chance to practice the liana(do like tarzan).
3. We will visit Waterfall Hola Vida, which you can swim in.
4. Approx. 15-20 minutes canoe in the river
5. Visit the Indian community, 1.50$ per person. we will practice the "Selvatana", and try some chicha (tipical Indian drink). people from the Indian community will paint your face with warriors motives, we will witness a typical Indian dance.
6. View point where you can see all the jungle around you, and enjoy a big swing.
6. You'll visit a place where you can see the process of making chocolate from cacao beans.
7. Back in Baños approx. on 8pm.

After an hour and a half ride, we will make a brief stop at the Papallacta Lagoon, located in the Páramo vegetation, with cold weather but beautiful landscapes. We continue to the hot springs and Touristic Complex of «Termas de Papallacta» where short hikes can be done, where your guide will explain about the richness of this ecosystem called the Cloud Forest, along the trail you can find orchids and colorful birds, later you will have some time so you can soak into the volcanic pools and take some optional treatments at the Spa. Your guide will recommend a place to have lunch and later you will get back to Quito.
