You will get warm thermal clothes and shoes in our office in Ivalo. From there we continue to a small village called Koppelo.
Snowmobiles and sledges are waiting for you there, the journey starts to a secret fishing place. You can enjoy unique landscape while you travel in the comfort of a sleigh pulled by a snowmobile.
Experienced guide will give you instructions for Ice Fishing. You will receive your own fishing rod and you can start fishing in a true Lappish style.
You will use either a worm or a maggot to catch the fish.
After fishing we will drive to a small island. We have there two friendly reindeers you can meet and feed.
Lunch and hot drinks will be served in a warm lappish teepee with open fire.
This is a great trip even if you are not so interested in fishing!

Would you like to experience the serenity of the wilderness in a reindeer caravan? On our reindeer sledge tour you will meet the famous reindeer moviestars Torvinen, Kameli and Kuura. We will have on hour reindeer sledge safari in to the wilderness and after the safari you can see the reindeer up close, feed them and also you will hear about the life of a reindeer and their meaning to the local people.
Near national park Pyhä-Luosto locates traditional reindeerfarm where the owners herd their reindeers in a traditional way according to northern nature's cycle. The owners also train their own sledge pulling reindeers.
Ice fishing on a frozen lake
We will travel 20 minutes from Rovaniemi by minivan and take a short walk to reach the lake. The location is our own private place away from the crowds in the middle of the peaceful nature. The main activity is of course fishing itself, but the frozen lake also offers an ideal setting for landscape and wildlife photos.
Once we reach the lake, we will teach you the basics of ice fishing and enjoy a pleasant afternoon fishing and photographing. We will also set up a campfire in traditional Lappish Teepee and enjoy some hot drinks and snacks – and of course fry our catch of the day!
