Inshore Sport Fishing with Local Guide
Not only will you have the opportunity to catch world class fish, but you will be able to do it in the intracoastal as you get a grand tour of urban Fort Lauderdale. Since the fishing takes place in the protected inshore waters you do not have to worry about getting seasick or having to travel far offshore in rough seas. All of our fishing is with light tackle, which makes the experience much more exciting and allows the angler to feel part of the action. Our main species we target are tarpon (sometimes over 100 pounds), snook, jack crevalle, barracuda, and sharks. We mainly fish with live bait, and most of the action is topwater giving the angler a visual experience. Anglers are welcome to hold the rod or use the rod holder until there is a bite depending on how much anglers want to participate.

Blue Springs is the closest spot for manatee kayaking near Orlando, just about an hour from the airport! Each year, record numbers of manatees (over 600) migrate to the warmer 72-degree waters during the colder months. Join me for a paddle on Florida’s longest river, the St. Johns, as we search for these incredible creatures alongside other wildlife like alligators, turtles, and a variety of birds. From November to March, during manatee season, the Blue Springs run transforms into a manatee sanctuary and is closed to swimmers and paddlers. My sit-on-top kayaks offer the best view of these gentle giants as they glide by. This activity is an amazing experience for those of all ages. At Crystal River Manatee Adventures we try our absolute best to make it a once in a lifetime trip. The day starts with free parking at our shop and then we provide transportation down to the boat, just a short drive away. We will then take a ride out to the Gulf of Mexico and find a spot where we think we’ll find lots of scallops! With the trip all equipment (mask, snorkel, and fins) is included. We also have a cooler filled with water and ice on the boat, which you can use for any food or beverages you bring along with you. We also provide an in water guide for the trip to help collect your daily limit on scallops. After our time is complete in the Gulf, we will then return to King’s Bay where we will give you the chance to hop into one of our beautiful springs to swim around and check out before heading back to the dock.
