The Lot Valley in 2CV
We will start our day in Cahors.
In the city center, on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, this square is covered with brightly colored stalls forming one of the most beautiful markets in the South West.
We will obtain local products to prepare a picnic together at the Cahors market.
We will then cross the Lot valley and make our first stop at the medieval village of St Cirq Lapopie, voted the favorite village of the French. You can walk down its street to understand why this village has attracted so many artists since the end of the 19th century. You will also enjoy the view suspended over the Lot River.
We will then drive on a cliff-lined road that winds upstream to take you into the Cele Valley and stop to set up our picnic along the river in a unique location.
We will return to Cahors via the peaceful Célé valley showing its impressive limestone cliffs imposing on one side.

Juno Beach Half Day Tour
On D-day, Tuesday June the 6th 1944, 21 500 Canadian troops landed on what is known today as Juno Beach. Overlooking Juno Beach today is the Juno Beach Center, the first stop of the day and a must see for any Canadian visitor to the region. It is the only museum in Normandy dedicated specifically to the Canadian war effort. The center recounts the history of Canada immediately before, during and after in its involvement in World War II. The 2nd stop of this tour is the Canadian Military Cemetery between the villages of Bény-sur-Mer and Reviers. The cemetery is managed by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and is the final resting place of 2 048 Canadian servicemen who lost their lives on D-day or during the battle of Normandy. From there the tour makes its way through some of the villages liberated by Canadian forces to the Abbaye d’Ardennes. This former abbey was a German HQ during the D-day invasion and was the scene of an infamous massacre.
