The Historic Cape Coast and Elmina Tour (The Land of History).
This tour offers our guests the opportunity to look back into the nation's collective past to understand the legacies of the Ghanaian culture and enjoy the beauty of the tropical forest and the hospitality of our people. Participants will develop new ways of looking at African history to understand the complexities that shape our societies and global history. We will share experiences, discover new places, and talk about ourselves and our past as we ride through the busy streets of Elmina and Cape Coast. We will also discuss the issues of the trans-Atlantic slave trade and its political and socio-economic impact on the country. Embarking on this trip triggers the individual to ask him or herself questions about the history of humanity. our responsibility to the betterment of our world to love one another.
Your tour guide will be Quame, a volunteer of the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board at Elmina Castle since 2015, who guides more than 100 people per week.
The Cape Coast Tour
Cape Coast is a must visit tour destination in Ghana. The presence of forts and castles have made this destination a popular site for those who want to learn more about the history of slave trade in Ghana and other parts of West Africa. These forts and castles can mostly be found on the coast of Ghana. While in Cape Coast, we will also visit the Kakum National Park which is the second largest national park in Ghana. We will climb the Canopy walkway which will give us the perfect sight of the breathtaking view of the forest from above.
Traditional Naming Ceremony and Boat Cruise Experience
Experience the rich culture in the Volta Region of Ghana for firsthand participation in traditional naming processes, drumming and dancing ushering you onto the beginning of the naming ceremony when you embark on this cultural tour which also include Boat Cruise on Volta River which is the longest River in West Africa. Just about one and half hour drive from Accra to the village, it presents to tourists the opportunity to see countryside with beautiful landscapes while driving to the village.
At Torgorme, the lovely and cheerfully community members gathered to welcome you with traditional drumming and dancing to the ceremonial ground. The ceremony starts by pouring of libation to Almighty God and our Ancestors to ask them for success of the ceremony. After that, the community elder will start to explain how a newly born child is named according to Ewe customs and traditions.

This tour package gives you the opportunity to see something different and unique with just a drive out of the capital city, You will see and get close to the monkeys and enjoy the beautiful and ever changing countryside of Ghana. The average time for this tour is on average about 4 hours drive each way. However, depending on both city and highway traffic the travel hours could more or less. If You you do have an extra day in your itinerary, we advise you book our overnight pack that will allow you to spend a lot of time with the beauty of the Volta Region and even take a hike to the mount Afadjato which is the highest in Ghana. Remember to also take your passports with you as occasionally immigration might stop you to check your visa.
