Accra - Kumasi Manhyia - Komfo Anokye Cultural Tour
Kumasi is the capital city of the Ashanti Region in Southern Ghana. It's Known as a centre for Ashanti Culture. Kumasi is 260.3 km from Accra the Capital.
The tour begins with the visit to the Manhyia Palace. Manhyia Palace is the seat of the Asantehene of Asanteman, as well as his official residence.
Transfer to Komfo Anokye Sword Site, situated on the grounds of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. A 333 year old sword wedged in the rockface is one of the centre artefacts and legends of the rich history of the Asante nation.
Depart Komfo Anokye Sword Site to Hotel.
Day 2 begins with the visit to Prempeh II Museum after breakfast.
Prempeh II Museum contains fascinating collection of Ashanti artefacts, including such impressive pieces as the King's battle dress and heavy gold jewellery.
