In order to recreate a miniature volcano eruption, they superheat real lava from the 1918 Katla eruption and once molten, pour it into a showroom full of people. It is an incredible, unforgettable experience. In an instant, the showroom heats up to a toasty temperature. And as the audience sits safe in their seats yet only a few feet away from the flowing lava, it is mesmerizing to see, hear, smell and feel the incredible heat that radiates from it.

Whales of Iceland is the largest whale museum in Europe. The 23 life-sized models of whales species found around Iceland are each modeled after an actual whale in the wild. The museum features underwater soundscapes & lighting, multiple interactive experiences, and a new exhibit highlighting the threats (and their solutions) that whales face today. Two documentaries are screened throughout the day for guests: Whale Wisdom, narrated by Sir David Attenborough, and Sonic Sea, narrated by Rachel McAdams. This is a super jeep adventure with the unforgettable experience of walking through caves made from ice on the Katla glacier.
To get to the glacier we use modified jeeps with huge tyres. This is part of the adventure. When we arrive at the base of the glacier in the middle of the Icelandic wilderness, we will explore ice caves, and hike around a little on the glacier. After that we drive to Hjorleifshofdi, a deserted black sand beach.
We only focus on small groups, with a more personal service. We spend as much time as is possible on the glacier giving you the chance to really take in this once in a lifetime opportunity.

On our Glacier Lagoon day tour we'll go for a drive along the South coast of Iceland heading to Europes largest glacier; Vatnajökull. Vatnajökull is the largest ice cap in Iceland, covering more than 8 percent of the country. In total Vatnajökull covers 8,100 km2 (3,100 sq mi) which is about the size of Delaware!
As we arrive to Vatnajökull National Park you'll start to feel the true force of nature, which becomes parent when we reach the large glacial lake Jökulsárlón on the south-east corner of Vatnajökull National Park. The lagoon developed after the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier started receding around the 1930s. The lagoon has grown since then at varying rates because of the melting of the glaciers.
