The park is situated in the Uttarkashi district of the hill state of Uttarakhand A classic around the year trek Kedarkantha offers thick snow cover in the winters and lush green meadows in summer months. The road head of Sankri (where the trek starts is a beautiful drive through the hill towns of Mussoorie, Purola, Mori, and Natwar most of them which lie on the banks of Tons river.
