An Hiking tour of about 15 km, the Alta variant of the Sentiero del Viandante, along a steep path that connects Lierna to Ortanella and from there to Varenna.
From the thick Val Brentalone, on a steep path that crosses the cliff of Zucco della Pecora, you reach the cross of Brentalone, 650 m above sea level.
Continue to Alpe di Mezzedo, with its ancient "Giazzera" and a breathtaking view of the center of the lake that is hard to forget. From there to Ortanella, the highest point of the Sentiero del Viandante (952 m asl) with its ancient church of S. Pietro.
