Traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony at Master's Private Tea Room
While many Machiya buildings have lost their original appearance, our house still shows how life was in those days. Machiya architecture follows a certain format, and how each house pursued beauty within that format is quite different. Our townhouse was formerly run as an obstetrics and gynecology clinic. The combination of the main house and the clinic is very unique, and the strange harmony of the two is very beautiful.
You will get to know the Machiya architecture and enjoy Japanese tea with seasonal fruits and sweets.

If you’re interested in meeting locals to share a drink when you travel, join our snack bar tour, and an expert guide will introduce you to two carefully selected venues where you can drink.
A snack is a small and uniquely Japanese kind of bar where locals go to drink, and enjoy the company of each other.
However, most snacks cater mainly to their regular customers, and can be difficult for travelers to find or even gain entrance to if you’re not a fluent local. That’s where this tour comes in!
Break down barriers of language and culture, and see a side of the real Japan that most visitors miss.
Take a fun quiz to deepen your understanding of Japanese drinking culture. Unlike a typical karaoke, we’ll ply you with drink then get you singing along with the whole bar!
As well as visiting two snacks (with 3 drinks at each) we’ll explore the Shimbashi area a little. Stroll and explore a traditional Japanese local landmark to complete your cultural introduction to the world of the snack!
Sumo experience in Tokyo Step into the ring and sumo meal
