On this 2-hour bar-hopping tour, visit around three local izakayas and tachinomi standing bars with an English-speaking guide. Stops may vary depending on availability and your group’s preferences.
Your guide helps with ordering and communication, explains local drinking customs, and introduces you to Osaka’s after-work bar culture. Depending on the stops, you may find kushikatsu, yakitori, karaage, sake, shochu, highballs, beer, and other local favorites.
Some venues are tiny, local spots with limited English, making this a great way to experience places you might otherwise walk past. You may also get the chance to chat with owners and regulars along the way.

Utilising upcycled Matcha! Creating matcha incense (Uji, Kyoto)
✳︎You makes 6-7 Matcha incense. It warms up to release the aroma of tea. You don't have to worry about the health hazards of smoke.
✳︎The matcha used is the stuff that accumulates in the crevices of the machine and has to be discarded. It is then ordered in fresh.
✳︎The appearance of the incense is therefore in the shape of edible sweets. The beautiful shape of the incense remains after the fragrance has been worn off, so it can be used repeatedly as an aroma stone.
✳︎The clay-like raw material of the incense is soft and has a soothing effect on you.
✳︎The venue is Eshin-in, in the heart of the tourist centre of Uji, Kyoto.Its garden is full of seasonal flowers carefully tended by the abbot.It also overlooks Byodoin Temple on the opposite bank of the Uji River, with a great view.

Let's make Wagashi at private home in Yokohama, suburban Tokyo
I will explain the essence of my workshop. You can learn how to make wagashi (Japanese sweets) from dough at my private Japanese home. It might be a very rare activity for you to visit a Japanese private home.
There are different kinds of wagashi. "Nerikiri,” "Gyuhi," "Manju," an so on. You can learn Japanese sweets depending on the season. That means you can feel the beautiful Japanese season each time. Most of the wagashi are vegan & gluten-free. It is good for your health. Many visitors and my daily class students always have lots of fun making sweets, and they are always looking forward to eating the sweets.
You can enjoy double Japanese traditional culture (Wagashi and Matcha) at a private Japanese home.

Mini Origami Lamp and Mizuhiki knot Belt Workshop in Ueno
Create an art piece that can decorate your room with a gentle light! In this workshop, you will create An Origami lamp and Mizuhiki knot belt.
LED light passes through washi paper, gently lighting up the space with a very soft light. It brings pressure to both the eyes and the heart.
You will fold and glue several sheets of handmade washi paper in a bellows-like manner. Inserting a small lamp inside the bellows-like washi paper, the ramp shines with gentle and warm light. Additionally, you will create a mizuhiki knot ornament for the belt. At the end of the session, we offer Japanese sweets with "Japanese paper tea" that is not offered elsewhere.
Enjoy the beauty and potential of washi paper by making your art piece.

Fukusa Shibori Class
At the Kyoto Shibori Museum, this traditional Japanese craft class shows you how to dye a 40cm x 40cm silk Fukusa (wrapping cloth) using the Kasamaki shibori method and Nuishime shobori method. You'll end up with a beautiful silk Fukusa to serve as a souvenir of your trip to Kyoto. Classes are usually individual and take 90 minutes to 120 minutes per class.
Start by choosing your favorite color and design, learning how to tie your fabric in a particular way and how to knot the thread.
Dye the fabric and undo the thread to see the final result!
While your fabric is drying (about 30 minutes), you'll learn more about shibori. Browse art pieces, tools, and samples displayed in the museum.
The museum shop also sells a variety of shibori items, souvenirs, fabrics, and more.
