Terelj Park & Chinggis Khan Statue - Private Day Trip
In just an hour’s driving distance from Ulaanbaatar there lies the Terelj NP, the most easily accessible part of the nearly 2mln hectare Khan Khenty strictly protected area. Terelj, meaning rhododendron is just a tiny but nevertheless a spectacular part of it, a fantastic venue for hiking and horseback riding. Proximity to the capital makes it a popular destination for single day tours. You will find yourself in a wide mountain bowl dotted with rock formations of weird shapes, quite often named after things they resemble. Upon arrival we hike in the park, visit a charming Buddhist temple on a cliff top and optionally take a short horseback riding tour.
