Our Annapurna Base Camp Short Trek begins after you arrive in Kathmandu and catch a 30-minute flight to the beautiful lake city of Pokhara the very next day. During the first few days of this trek we pass through beautiful landscapes, rhododendron forests, waterfalls, and culturally reach Gurung villages as we visit Jhinu Danda, Bamboo, Deurali and Machhapuchre Base Camp; we finally reach Annapurna Base Camp at an altitude of 4,130 meters above sea level. Then we follow the same route back towards Pokhara before flying to Kathmandu.

Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Ri Trek is an outstanding trek, which passes through the high valleys of Khumbu. Flying from Kathmandu to Lukla, we follow the Dudh Koshi valley up to the Sherpa capital of Namche, and then follow the quiet trail to Thame village in the Bhote Koshi valley. Descending to Khumjung, we are treated with the incredible views of Kantega and Thamserku and the Nuptse-Lhotse wall with Everest so realistic above. At Khumjung we rejoice below Khumbila Peak, home of the patron God of the Khumbu, before continuing up the Dudh Koshi valley to Gokyo’s alpine lakes. We ascend up to Gokyo Ri for a 360 degree panorama of snow-capped peaks in Everest Region.

The settlement of Gokyo (4750m) lies on the banks of the third lake in a series of small turquoise mountain lakes and on the ridge above Gokyo, a hike to the high vantage point of Gokyo Ri (Trek to Gokyo Peak) (5350m) will reward you with views of the four above 8000m peaks of Cho You, Everest, Lhotse and Makalu expose themselves. There are many options for additional exploration and high-altitude walking, including the crossing of Cho La, a 5420m-high pass into Khumbu and a hike to Gokyo Ri. Your return trek will depart from the standard Gokyo trek and if you wish to take yourself through another route back to Namche by crossing the Renjo La pass (5340m) instead of back trekking the Gokyo valley trails. This makes the trek a much more exciting and challenging one or heading to Everest Base Camp trek just crossing Cho La pass also would be another achievement.
