Our Tour begins outside of the gates of Lafayette Cemetery #1, as you learn of the basic burial information and customs and discuss why New Orleans cemeteries are so unique (NOTE: PUBLIC ACCESS IS NOT ALLOWED IN THIS CEMETERY) We then walk around the neighborhood where you'll see the architectural styles of the Americans. We couldn't decide if we loved ghost stories or true crime stories more, so we decided to do them both!
You can almost feel the history (and the spirits) as you walk through this 300 year old neighborhood and former Native American gathering place on the Mississippi River.
THIS is the sacred ground where centuries of unforgettable, intense characters have lived, loved, fought, celebrated, made music, and taken their last breaths. Energy like that does not fade away; in fact, it intensifies when we tell their stories as we walk through their streets.
We will share with you the stories of hauntings, murders, rituals, restless spirits, mischievous ghosts, and some things we just can't explain. Even skeptics love this tour, because everyone loves a good story!
The tour is 1.5 - 2 hours and covers about a mile in the world-famous French Quarter. Come after dinner and end in time for a night out on the town!
Hidden History of New Orleans' Garden District
New Orleans' Garden District is a steeped in history and charm, with landmarks that tell stories of its rich heritage. Our small group walking tour brings you through the neighborhood for an unforgettable experience for history, architecture, and culture enthusiasts. We will see the home of football royalty, the Mannings, and author Anne Rice's home. Well talk about Lafayette Cemetery No. 1, one of the city’s oldest cemeteries. Though currently closed for maintenance, its cultural significance endures.

Most people are familiar with Bourbon Street and the French Quarter, but many people don’t know Magazine Street, where our tour takes place and has a rich history around food, art, culture and nightlife. We’ll visit 4 different shops - trying donuts and beignets all along the way. Starting with traditional beignets with powdered sugar and a coffee in hand, we’ll learn about the neighborhoods rich history as it relates to New Orleans. At our second stop, we’ll follow that up with artisanal donuts at one of the best donut shops in New Orleans. After a short walk, we’ll have some super interesting beignets with various toppings and sauces, unlike anything you’ve tried before. And finally, we’ll end up at our last stop and we’ll have our last surprise on the tour. It’s sure to be a delicious and casual adventure you’re sure to enjoy.

French Quarter Walking Tour With Comp 1850 House Museum Admission
This French Quarter walking tour is conducted by city licensed guides and emphasize the history, architecture, and folklore of this fascinating city. Tour and store proceeds benefit Friends of the Cabildo, a non-profit volunteer group to provide support for the Louisiana State Museum. Purchasing a walking tour ticket also gets you admission to the 1850 House Museum, above the store, that shows what life was like in a typical Pontalba Apartment in the 1850s. Restroom is provided for walking tour guests as well.
