Tour de Hunza Valley
Hunza is a stunning mountain valley located in the extreme north of Pakistan's Gilgit-Baltistan region, surrounded by the majestic ranges of the Karakoram, Himalayas, Hindu Kush, and Pamir. It is near the Tianshan and Kunlun mountains and the historic city of Kashgar. Once part of the ancient Silk Route, Hunza is now accessed via the Karakoram Highway (KKH), often called the "eighth wonder of the world," which connects to China through the Khunjerab Pass at 4,733 meters.
The best times to visit are in spring when fruit trees bloom, and in autumn, when the leaves turn vibrant shades of yellow and red. The ideal visiting period is from April to the end of October. Hunza can be reached from Islamabad by a 55-minute flight to Gilgit, followed by a 2-3 hour drive on the KKH. Alternatively, you can access it from China via Tashkurgan-Kashgar through the Khunjerab Pass.
