Lagoa do Fogo: Private Scenic Walking Tour
This trail begins on a dirt road that leads you through a forest rich in Eucalyptus, Australian Cheesewood, Acacias, and Yellow Ginger Lilies. Along the way, you'll also encounter several species of Typha, a plant native to New Zealand.
As you continue, you'll explore the Lagoa do Fogo water trails (levadas), where you'll discover endemic Azorean plants such as Uva da Serra (Vaccinium cylindraceum), Urze (Erica azorica), Folhado (Viburnum tinus), and Linguee.
