Malá Strana hides more gardens than most visitors ever find. This walk strings together four of the best — starting low, by the water, and climbing gradually toward the Castle. You'll begin in the Wallenstein Garden, a Baroque estate built by a general who demolished half a street to make room for his ambitions, still roamed by peacocks today. From there, a quiet gate leads into Vojan Gardens, Prague's oldest walled garden, tucked away and rarely visited. The route follows the Čertovka — the "Devil's Stream" — past an old working watermill, before climbing into the Vrtba Garden, a UNESCO-listed terraced garden with some of the best rooftop views in the neighborhood.
