Maramures Activ Tour
This tour is made especially for nature enthusiasts and hikers passionate for less beaten trails and solitary routes. The hiking holiday takes place in Rodnei National Park in Maramures. The highest mountains of the Maramures region, Rodna Mountains, are the eastern end of an outlying arm of the Carpathians. This arm of the Carpathians has had the effect of isolating Maramures from the rest of Romania and the world. Most subsequent invasions have passed it by, leaving its population little changed in millennia. Consequently, this is a region that has a greater tendency to maintain traditional ways than any other region of Romania. This national park shelters iconic mammals like the brown bear and the mysterious lynx, rare birds. The tour is an active one where you can expect to do long hikes, but we will make sure that the effort is rewarded with a day of relaxation afterward. Spend with a local guide 5 days of a responsible hiking holiday in one of the most beautiful natural parks.

Walking Tour and Dinner with a local in Bucharest
About your host – Iana
Hi, I’m Iana — an art lover, storyteller, and local guide from Bucharest.
I studied acting and painting, and later completed a Master’s degree in Fine Arts, because I’ve always believed that life, like art, is meant to be felt deeply.
I’ve lived in Bali, Singapore, and Hong Kong, and traveled to over 40 countries, always searching for beauty, inspiration, and connection. Yet somehow, I always find myself coming back to Bucharest — a city that feels like an open book filled with stories, colors, and emotions.
Through my tours, I love to share the poetry of this city: its hidden courtyards, artists’ secrets, and the powerful women who shaped its history.
My experiences are not just about sightseeing — they’re about feeling the soul of Bucharest, one story at a time.
When I’m not guiding, I paint, write, and spend time with my two cats, who think they’re small philosophers.
If you join my tour, expect warmth, curiosity, and a few unexpected stories .
