What our customers had to say,
"Knoydart is special and simply wonderful when combined with an experience like the day we spent with Billy. Feeling safe at sea in capable and experienced hands allows you to relax and really enjoy the day. Watching gannets dive around the boat, fishing and hauling lobsters. Being landed at a remote beach and walking through view after view to be met at the other end with the most superb seafood meal. I really hope we will be able return for another adventure."
A really special day out on the West Coast of Scotland.

The Black Isle
The Black Isle
The Bonnie Black Isle is, on a bright summer’s day, not black. Nor, on any other day is it an island. “Bonnie” (Scots for “beautiful”) however, it assuredly is and it affords the visitor many beautiful views, seascapes, wildlife and places of interest. The “Isle” is in fact a peninsula strategically lying between the broad expanses of two Firths, Moray and Cromarty.

The Puffin Express
Join us on the Puffin Express, brand new for 2026, as we journey from Lerwick, Shetland's capital, to the very south of Mainland in search of Shetland's favourite birds.
Every year, Puffins- or "Tammie Norries" as we call them- come ashore to breed after spending winter at sea. Loved for their black and white plumage, these cheeky birds have become a symbol of Shetland.
Sumburgh Head, where the North Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean, is the best spot in Shetland to catch a glimpse of them up close. Plus, it's home to a 19th century Stevenson lighthouse, clifftop walks and a plethora of wildlife.
When booking, please bear in mind that Puffin sightings can never be guaranteed. They are wild birds and on occasion may be out of view at the time of your visit. Please also note that there is a steep (but paved) walk from the coach park to Sumburgh Head Lighthouse. On arrival, your driver will inform you of the departure time. It is your responsibility to ensure you're back on time.

Slow Food Highland Dining and Storytelling in Inverness
Scotland Food and Drink selected my experience as one of the best fifty Food and Drink Experiences in 2025, and I am delighted because it is important for guests visiting the Highlands to eat the best of what the region has to offer, incorporated into traditional recipes, and I can guarantee a thoroughly Highland experience. The Cleikum Social Eating Club has been modelled on the Cleikum referred to in Sir Walter Scott’s “St. Ronan’s Well”, and who did more than the latter to introduce the Highlands for romantic destination travel?
I was born and brought up in Inverness, and am enthusiastic about the visiting potential of this area, and know it well.
I was a hostess/guide in the observation car of the Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh during the summer season when I was at University. I provided a running commentary during the journey, and helped travellers with suggestions on where to eat on arrival, what they should see in the area, and information on the Isle of Skye.
