Doune Castle was built in 1400 and it was Castle Leoch , home of Colum Mackenzie in Outlander and the prequel Blood of my Blood.
Drummond Castle and Gardens – the grounds, which date back to 1630, are considered “the best example of formal terraced gardens in Scotland”. Drummond was used for the garden party at the Palace of Versailles , France in an episode of Outlander.
