Wine & K-BBQ: A Perfect Pairing Dinner
* To enhance your experience, please inform us of your food and wine preferences, as well as any allergies, before the tour date. The menu typically features Korean-style meat dishes.
Korean cuisine offers a diverse array of flavors and textures, making it surprisingly versatile when paired with wine. While traditionally associated with rice-based spirits like soju and makgeolli, the complexity of Korean dishes can complement various wine styles. Light-bodied whites like Riesling or Pinot Grigio pair well with spicy and tangy dishes like kimchi or Korean BBQ, while medium-bodied reds such as Pinot Noir or Gamay can complement heartier dishes like bulgogi or galbi. Ultimately, experimentation is key, but the contrast and balance between Korean flavors and wine profiles can create delightful culinary experiences.
