Our daily tour begins with a scenic drive approximately 35 km northeast of Siem Reap to Banteay Srei Temple, one of the most beautifully decorated temples in the Angkor region. Built from fine-grained rose-pink sandstone, Banteay Srei is famous for its intricate carvings, beautifully decorated lintels, false doors, floral motifs, and detailed scenes inspired by the Ramayana.
After exploring Banteay Srei, continue through the countryside to Pre Rup Temple, followed by a visit to Preah Dak Village, where you can experience traditional Cambodian rural life and discover the local production of palm sugar.
The journey continues to the magnificent East Mebon Temple and the historic East Baray, before exploring the peaceful island temple of Neak Pean. Guided Private Tuk Tuk Tour Angkor Wat and Small Circle and Five Extras
This is a very intense version of the classic so-called "Small Tour" (with Angkor Wat and jungle temple), starting early (6.30am) for good reasons:
1. You will visit Angkor Wat twice, during best morning hours, allowing you to avoid the crowds, and at the end of the tour, allowing you to see it in the best sunshine.
2. You will visit five "hidden gems" as Extras, one of them being a picture-book "lost temple in the jungle".
3. You will enjoy a 3.5 km hike in Angkor Thom to lonesome sites.
The private tour is with both an English-speaking driver and an English-speaking guide. You will visit each temple with the guide, while the driver is waiting at its car park.
Lunch-break will be at the reservoir Srah Srang, where several good restaurants are available. Alternatively, the driver can drop you to another location, provided you agree to pay him for the extra kilometre.
For each temple, you need a one- or multiple-day Angkor Ticket, which is not included in the tour costs.

Day 1: Angkor Wat – Discovery
We started the day to visit the important Angkor Thom. It includes many of the finest temples from the time of King Jayavarman VII, who ruled from 1181 to 1220. In the centre of this city is the temple of Bayon, which we will also visit. This temple-mountain, built at the end of the 12th century. We will also see the Terrace of the Elephants, the Terrace of the Leper King.
In the afternoon, we begin our exploration of magnificent Angkor Wat, built under Suryavarman II. We’ll have time to photograph the famously eerie silk-cotton tree roots as they slowly envelope the Ta Prohm temple from Jayavarman VII’s reign.
Day 2: Tonle Sap – Floating Village
Today visit Kampong Phluk is a cluster of three villages of stilted houses built within the floodplain of the Tonle Sap about 16 km southeast of Siem Reap. Flooded mangrove forest surrounds the area and is home to a variety of wildlife including crab-eating macaques.
