Ratnapura Full Day Tour with Water Falls, Gem Mines and Saman Devalaya
This tour goes southeast via Avissawella through every shade and tone of rich green to yellow green of the rubber plantations, paddy fields and tea estates. Before reaching Ratnapura you will visit the Bopath Ella waterfalls with a height of approximately 100 feet or 30 meter.
On to Ratnapura, City of Gems and see Adam’s Peak (in the distance) – a 2,243m mountain venerated by Buddhists, Hindus and Muslims. After lunch, visit one of the famous gem mines of Ratnapura. Gems such as the Blue, Star and Yellow Sapphires, Cat’s Eyes, Rubies, Alexandrites, Amethysts, Zircons, Topaz and Tourmalines are found here.
