Mae Hong Son is the most mountainous province in Thailand and receives little traffic due to its relatively remote location and time needed to reach it. This excursion will take you first to the highest peak of Thailand (Doi Inthanon with 2,565 meters above sea level). This 3 hour trekking Chiang Mai adventure to a waterfall is a nice way to see the jungle and cool off in the water. The trek itself is about 1.6 km through the jungle to a 10 metre high waterfall. We then take a break here so you can go for a swim so it’s a good idea to change into your swimming attire at the camp before you start the hike. The guide will point out flora and fauna along the way. We return back along the same track. If you’re a quick hiker and would like to go further past the waterfall we can do that as well. Our coastal cruise is perfect for those who really want to relax and get away from normal life. The coast around Khao Lak is made up of misty mountains, lush jungles, small islands, rocks and reefs. This is a fantastic place to see birds and often fish jumping from the water. We start off with a look around the Royal Navy Turtle Conservation Center. This turtle nursery was set up by the royal family to help boost the turtle population around Khao Lak, The Similan and Surin Islands. Our next stop is our pier in the local village. From here we cruise through the stunning, tropical scenery before heading to a long and beautiful beach. There is plenty of time to relax on the beach with some lunch and fresh fruit before returning to your hotel.
