Private Bars & Dinner by Train from Shinjuku with Ex-JR Conductor
Ride by train with a former conductor into the night drinking scene along the JR Chuo Line.
Tonight’s “passenger” is you.
When the train doors open, local Tokyo after dark begins.
This is not simply about visiting bars.
This is a local night experience that brings you closer to how people in Tokyo move through the city by train at night and casually stop for a drink along the way.
With Samurai Guide Sho, who served as a JR Chuo Line conductor for 22 years, travel from Shinjuku on a JR Chuo Line Green Car (premium seating) and step beyond the usual sightseeing spots.
The journey begins by taking in the changing scenery and air outside the window as the train moves on.
Step off the train and enter a neighborhood, and your mind and pace loosen into the local rhythm.
Depending on the flow of the night, the journey may lead to a retro drinking alley, a skilled sushi counter, or a Japanese craft beer bar.
Follow the rails into the streets, and let Tokyo pour the next good glass.
