Once home to Dante, Leonardo, Michelangelo and Machiavelli the streets and squares of the city are teeming with history. It all began in ancient times when the Romans established a colony near the banks of the Arno. After the fall of the Roman empire and a period of political turmoil and warfare, Florence flourished in the later middle ages. By the mid-1200s Florence was minting its own currency; the golden florin became the dominant trade coin all over Europe. Thanks to his economic prosperity, wealthy Florence bankers, merchants and wool makers began to pour huge sums of money into public works, places, churches fueling the renaissance. The city enjoyed its prolific golden age with the rise of the Medici family. Then after a period of decline, the city witnessed a reawakening when it became the capital of Italy for a short time.
Walk to amazing sites like Piazza Santa Croce and Piazza Della Signoria, a square with so much original sculpture, it could be considered an outdoor museum.

During the journeys I will tell you the history of the area and its traditions, the vines and the peculiarities of the area.
We will visit 2 splendid wineries representative of the Chianti Classico territory and, after touching the vineyards and visiting the cellars, we will taste the wines produced.
We will have lunch at a beautiful winery in Panzano in Chianti (FI, after visiting the vineyards and cellars, then in the afternoon we will move to Radda Chianti (SI) or Barberino Val d'Elsa (FI) depending on availability. If one or more wineries are not available, I will inform you of the alternatives chosen.

Bike Tour of 1h. The departure time varies from 18.50 to 20.00 depending on the season.
An Experience full of 'Good Vibes'. The energy of sunset and the return to dusk. The bike tour will take place on Capo Stella, a promontory overlooking the beach of Lacona. Technically easy but unpaved route that therefore requires a minimum of cycling experience but suitable for beginners.
The tour continues towards the promontory of Capo di Stella, immersed in the scents and intense colors of the Mediterranean scrub. A short and pleasant climb will lead us on a panoramic high-altitude DA road, from which we can admire the different sides of the Island of Elba, kissed by the sunset light. Return at dusk, turning on the light on the bike (if needed), towards the starting point (Elba MTB Lacona).
