Wander the medieval walled town of San Gimignano, enjoying amazing views from its hillside location.
Here you can have a coffee in the main sqaure, you can visit the Cathedral, shop for ceramic, leather or local products and of course, eat one of the best gelato's in the world.
We'll then go to Siena, where you can't miss the Piazza del Campo, the city's iconic shell-shaped square, the Duomo with its beautiful frescos and wander the charming alleys, hidden piazzas and artisan shops.
Don't leave Siena before tasting some local dishes.
Self-guided Bike Tour from Lucca to Pisa
Follow the Serchio River and cycle along scenic country roads on the way to the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa on this family-friendly self-guided tour.
This easy/intermediate journey starts in Lucca and follows secondary country roads all around the Monti Pisani. Cycle down 33 kilometers of dirt and asphalt roads with a trekking bike or an e-bike.
Bikes are fitted with a phone holder, making it easy to follow the GPS directions on the application. The journey to Pisa takes between 2 to 4 hours.
After approximately 20 kilometers, stop at San Giuliano Terme for a refreshing drink in the charming central square in front of the Spa. The itinerary ends in Piazza dei Miracoli, in front of the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Return to Lucca on a direct route by bike or on a 25-minute train ride. The bikes fit easily into the train's storage wagons and train tickets can be purchased in advance from the local partner.

Truffle Hunting in Tuscany
Explore the mysterious, magical world of truffles, wander through the woods in the company of a local expert truffle hunter and his dogs and enjoy a unique and direct experience of this ancient tradition.
Truffles are a seasonal delicacy but in this area we are very lucky, in spring we can find the Marzuolo or March truffle, in summer the Tartufo Nero Scorzone, a black Summer truffle, while in winter there are black winter truffles but also sometimes the famous " Bianco delle Crete Senesi", the highly prized white truffle.
Outside our farm house we meet up with our expert truffle hunter and his wonderful dogs. To help you get the best of the companionship of the truffle hunter, a mine of information on truffles, the dogs, the woods and countryside and the local area in general you will be accompanied by an English speaking interpreter - generally an interpreter who also assists in the cooking classes and so able to give you tips on storing and using the truffles in the kitchen.
