Budapest Puszta Day Trip to Kecskemet with Horse Show & Lunch

First we visit Kecskemét to see the difference between a town in the countryside and the bustling city of Budapest. We continue to Lajosmizse. On arrival at the farm we taste ’barackpálinka’ (apricot brandy) as a welcome drink.

Budapest Castle Walk
Budapest’s Castle District is a 1.5 kilometer-long neighborhood perched at the top of a hill rising from the Danube riverbank. It’s a neighborhood with a timeless atmosphere, surrounded by walls, and with plenty of places to stop and admire the spectacular views of the city below. This tour is an exploration of one of the oldest sections of the city, which is full of history, fascinating stories, and charming architecture, as well as the scars from dozens of sieges and battles. Once you pass the tour buses clustered in a few spots, this is a quiet car-free neighborhood of winding cobblestoned streets, baroque and gothic facades, colorful old stucco houses, and a few of Budapest’s most prominent buildings and monuments. This tour will showcase not only the important sites—such as the eclectic Matthias Church with its colorful tiled roof and brightly colored interior, the Royal Palace complex, and the Fisherman’s Bastion—but also the secret spots hidden in the side streets.
Visiting a Bear and Wolf Sanctuary
The local town-owned sanctuary is recognized by the world animal protection agency for 25 years. With your visit, you will contribute to the well-being of the animals too. An air-conditioned van is used for transportation between Budapest and the Bear Sanctuary, the ride is one hour each way. The guide will give you all the information about the bears and wolves and depending on luck you will see such moves by the animals you can see only in Natural Geography films. The bears were saved from circuses and now they live happily in a huge territory we will walk around the area. The bears and wolves are living their natural way of life we are just observing them so you might see bears playing in a lake, climbing trees, or simply wrestling. Some bears are born here so sometimes you see cubs with their mom when bears are small they are in a separate area. This absolute freedom makes these wild animals happy and that is why this place is so unique.
