Tubing River Adventure
You’ll have the time of your life riding the watery rollercoaster of the Black River (Rio Negro) in individual inner tube rafts on our Rio Negro Tubing Adventure.
Enjoy non-stop fun and excitement bouncing and splashing down 5 km (3 miles) of class 2 and 3 rapids in this narrow, rushing river of crystal clear water. There are plenty of quiet pools along the way to appreciate the beautiful tropical scenery. Our special river tube rafts are designed with handles and protective bottoms. Veragua Rainforest and Tortuguero Canals Shore Excursion
Enjoy the wildlife of Veragua Rainforest and the Tortuguero Canals in this shore excursion. Right outside the cruise port, an experienced guide will be waiting for you to start the tour in an air-conditioned vehicle.
Enjoy the Veragua Rainforest Full Tour (entrance fee NOT included) and its variety of wildlife attractions: reptile habitat, butterfly garden, frog habitats, insectarium, biological research station and the aerial tram are some of the highlights. At the Tortuguero Canals, experience a one-hour boat ride on a covered boat. Don’t miss the chance to take pictures of sloths, monkeys, iguanas, tropical birds and more biodiversity of the region.
Going back, watch most of Puerto Limon’s town from a scenic viewpoint, while your guide shares some of the history and culture of Costa Rica’s Caribbean province. You can also choose to visit a supermarket to purchase some Costa Rican coffee and other local goods at a fair price. Finally, it will be time to return to the cruise port.
Arenal Volcano Guided Hike, Hot Springs Optional
The tour takes place in the northwestern region of the Arenal Volcano, the site of one of the most significant eruptions ever recorded in Costa Rica. Along the trail, visitors walk over ancient flows of solidified lava, formed during the 1968 eruption, which reflect the intense geological transformation processes that shaped the environment.
During the hike, participants pass through areas of regenerating forest, petrified lava blocks, sandy soils, and natural formations, in a setting that integrates geology, ecology, and biodiversity. The journey is guided by specialized experts who share knowledge about Arenal’s eruptive history, the formation of volcanoes, the fundamentals of volcanology, and the internal processes that give rise to these phenomena.
At the end, the trail leads to strategic viewpoints offering panoramic views of Arenal Lake and the volcano itself, allowing visitors to appreciate the magnitude of the landscape.

After the Zip Line it’s time to get on some horses and head for the mountains and natural swimming pools. Your guide will have cold water for you.
