Book an amazing tour in the East of Crete to visit Agios Nikolaos, a small town with a picturesque harbor, home to one of the two sweetwater lakes of Crete. We will then explore the oldest and most picturesque village in Crete, called 'Kritsa,' built amphitheatrically on a rock hill named Kastellos. Situated at an altitude of 375 m, Kritsa is surrounded by olive groves. Our visit will include 'Panagia Kera' to see the most important wall painting decorations in Greece. With our bikes, we follow the footsteps of a young woman and a shepherd who lived a century ago in this beautiful village of Pediada valley. Through unknown stories, we travel back in time and learn the wise agricultural and social practices the old Cretans used while living in harmony with the environment.
We meet the kind and smiling villagers, wander through picturesque alleys and enjoy authentic daily routines. During our afternoon Soulouksina route we visit old churches, a monastery and nearby villages calming body and mind amid uphills and downhills of the Cretan landscape. We end up in a traditional “kafeneio” where we all together prepare a light meal before sunset.

Our next stop is going to be just across is Gramvousa, famous for its historical Venetian fortress, which still stands at a height of 137m, over the beach. The fort had also been used by pirates, one legend tells that there is a great treasure buried in the island.The view from there is stunning. Also the old wreck that was abandoned many years ago near the beach, has become an characteristic part of the landscape.
On our way back to Falassarna we will make some stops to catch the most beautiful sunset you have ever seen.
