During this day trip, we explore the oldest civilization of Europe, the Minoan palace of Knossos (guided tour), which is connected with thrilling legends, such as the myth of the Labyrinth with the Minotaur and the story of Daidalos and Ikaros. Our next stop is the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion, one of Europe’s most important museums, where we admire more than 15000 artefacts. The Rent a Boat Safari category includes a sea tour, which is an adventure worth choosing. The duration is 3:00 hours and takes place in the wider area of Georgioupolis, Obrosgialos, near a cave. You will be drawn by the crystal blue waters, where you will have enough time to jump in, for a refreshing swim. Each boat is 5 meters long, has 5 seats and its engine is 30hp YAMAHA.
The tour safety guide will be on the first boat to give you directions on navigation and show you the route, while the rest of the boats will follow.
There is also pick up and drop off service available and we can supply you with snack and water.

During our kayak trip, we will visit the well known Sweet water beach and will have a stop/lunch afterwards in Loutro village.
The whole trip takes place in an area which has NO roads. It is near the national park of Samaria.
The whole distance of the trip is about 15km (8.1 nautical miles).

4-Hour Private Boat Rental Without Skipper at Agios Nikolaos
Be your own captain! You can rent a boat and discover all the hidden and secluded beaches of our island, along with enjoying activities such as snorkeling and rod fishing. All boats are equipped with everything you need during your boat ride, so that you do not miss anything, but also be perfectly safe onboard!
For RIB boat rental, a speedboat license is needed.
Matala - Agia Galini - Spili from Rethymno
For this excursion, you will be picked up from your hotel area by our airconditioned bus. The first stop is at the Spili village. You will have a chance to see a 100% traditional village with its well know lion-head fountains in the middle of the village. Walking along its cobbled streets you can explore the tourist shops which are full of traditional Cretan products. The next stop is at the amphitheatrically built village of AgiaGalini. Here will have 2 hrs to explore the village. The next stop is at Matala where you will have 3 hr of free time to enjoy the golden sandy beach. Matala is not only known for its beautiful beaches but also for its artificially carved caves that date all the way back to the Minoan period. These same caves were later occupied by a hippy commune in the late 60’s and 70’s. Many musicians have composed song about the beauty of Matala including Bob Dylan and Cat Stevens. The bus will then take you back to your hotel ending this amazing excursion.
