During this day trip, we explore the oldest civilization of Europe, the Minoan palace of Knossos (guided tour), which is connected with thrilling legends, such as the myth of the Labyrinth with the Minotaur and the story of Daidalos and Ikaros. Our next stop is the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion, one of Europe’s most important museums, where we admire more than 15000 artefacts. Afterwards, we have the chance to wander around Heraklion and discover a Venetian fortress at the entrance of the harbor, gorgeous neoclassical buildings, Byzantine churches and many fountains.

Wine and Olive oil Tasting
Starting the journey we will discover the process of production of Cretan extra virgin olive oil in the modern Kanakis Olive Oil Mill through some secret knowledge as well as through the tasting of true local olive oil.
In Dourakis winery we will wander through the vineyards, the wooden cellars of the winery, and feel the culture and history through the wonderful aromas of the different grape varieties.
Complete your excursion with a light meal next to the running waters of the village of Vryses enjoying the dew and shade of the tree leaves.

The Rent a Boat Safari category includes a sea tour, which is an adventure worth choosing. The duration is 3:00 hours and takes place in the wider area of Georgioupolis, Obrosgialos, near a cave. You will be drawn by the crystal blue waters, where you will have enough time to jump in, for a refreshing swim. Each boat is 5 meters long, has 5 seats and its engine is 30hp YAMAHA.
The tour safety guide will be on the first boat to give you directions on navigation and show you the route, while the rest of the boats will follow.
There is also pick up and drop off service available and we can supply you with snack and water.

Sail from Kolimvari Port along the gorgeous north coast of Chania on our comfortable sailing yacht and discover the island of Thodorou, home of the famous Kri-Kri goats.
As we start, after a short safety briefing, you can admire the beautiful coastline and enjoy the feel of sailing.
About 1 hour later we arrive to our swim stop where you can enjoy the crystal waters and our water activities such as snorkeling, fishing and stand-up paddle boarding. While at anchor our crew will be happy to offer you any piece of equipment you request.
About 2 hours later our menu is served and includes Greek salad and several appetizers, while the main course is shrimp pasta (vegetarian and gluten free options upon request). Walking along its cobbled streets you can explore the tourist shops which are full of traditional Cretan products. The next stop is at the amphitheatrically built village of AgiaGalini. Here will have 2 hrs to explore the village. The next stop is at Matala where you will have 3 hr of free time to enjoy the golden sandy beach. Matala is not only known for its beautiful beaches but also for its artificially carved caves that date all the way back to the Minoan period. These same caves were later occupied by a hippy commune in the late 60’s and 70’s. Many musicians have composed song about the beauty of Matala including Bob Dylan and Cat Stevens. The bus will then take you back to your hotel ending this amazing excursion.
