By joining this mochi pounding experience, participants will gain insights into the cherished history and cultural significance of this Japanese tradition.
Participants will use traditional tools such as a mortar and pestle to pound and shape the glutinous rice dough.
Afterward, they can enjoy freshly made mochi in its plain form or topped with delicious accompaniments such as kinako (roasted soybean powder), sweet red bean paste, nori (seaweed), and sweet soy sauce.
This immersive activity provides a unique window into Japan's rich culinary traditions, making it a must-try for anyone curious about the country’s timeless gastronomic heritage.
Experienced instructors will teach you patiently, so feel free to join with peace of mind!

In this tour, I will capture the best moments of your trip in Kyoto. The tour route is Hanami-koji⇒Yasuikonpira Shrine⇒Ishibekoji⇒Maruyama park.
The main reason why you should choose this tour is that I'm not only good at taking beautiful photos of you, but also I'm very familiar to these area so I will take you to the hidden and secret spots that are less crowd, and do photo session there. I'm very good at taking photos of solo-portrait, couple, honeymoon and family.
I will take photos of you one by one, group by group. So I would like you to wait for minutes while I take photos for another group. I will suggest spots, poses, and angles. But you can also tell me your preference.
After tour, I will send the photos by data via Email on the SAME DAY or NEXT DAY of the tour. In addition, I will also tell you about local culture, good spots for food and fun, and some tips that help you enjoy Japan more. Master Takeda Hougyoku is the head of the International Iaido Organization Hougyoku-kai. The largest mugairyu organization, and practices the purest, most traditionally faithful form of Mugairyu. You need years of experience practicing Iai before you will be able to safely wield a real sword. The use of a real katana by an inexperienced swordsman presents both the risk of injury to yourself and the participants around you and the risk of bending or damaging the sword.
Even if you have insurance, it is impossible to erase the damage of any accident that may occur. Therefore, to prevent any accidents and provide peace of mind for everyone – you, the other participants, the teachers, etc. involved, we will only use mock katana in this experience.
