After the monkey park, we are visiting an old Shinto shrine called Togakushi shrine which has been one of the most important place for the mountain worship since ancient era. The shrine and precincts forest are all covered with thick snow during the winter season. In this class, we will cook 3-4 Japanese home-style cuisine together. You will be able to learn how to make Dashi (Japanese soup stock), about Japanese ingredients and how to cook them.
After enjoying the dishes we have made, we will have sake tasting time. Very unique and rare high quality of Sake distilled locally in Japan will be prepared.
If you are not a fan of alcohol, we can change the program to Japanese tea tasting or a calligraphy experience.
