You will visit very unique, religious town with a knowledgeable licensed local guide. We will help you understand Koyasan as much as possible. We visit two most sacred areas in Koyasan. One is Garan-monastic complex and the other is Okunoin-the holy place for Kobo Daishi (the founder of Shingon Buddhism in Japan) belief. And we also visit Kongobuji temple, the head temple of Koyasan Shingon Buddhism. You will be able to learn about real Koyasan only a local guide knows. We walk about 3 km in Okunoin feeling the sacred atmosphere created by hundreds of thousands of gravestones standing on both sides of the pass flanked by tall centuries-old cedar trees.

Hello! This is Eva from Eva Kestner International Taiko Drum Academy.
I am a professional and accomplished taiko drummer and instructor.
I was the founder and first musical directorof Cornell University's Taiko Drumming group, I have received the excellency award from the Tokyo University of Arts New Artists Competition, and my original music is now published by Harper Collins and Cambridge International Curriculum which sets a global standard for education and employment.
Experience the wonderful Japanese taiko drums through a 90 minute workshop where I will be teaching the taiko drums in English. We will go through the foundation training, rhythm training, and learn a traditional and contemporary taiko drumming piece. I will also give a short performance and brief taiko drumming history explanation.
Furthermore, you will receive a personalized video of you playing the taiko drums.

Japanese Calligraphy Experience in Osaka
Enjoy the calligraphy experience of traditional Japanese culture.
With 27 years of experience as a calligraphy instructor, I will provide you with easy-to-understand and detailed instruction.
We will talk about Japanese letters, explain how to use calligraphy tools, and teach you the basics of how to use a brush. Then, students choose one of the 16 kanji that are popular overseas, practice it, and write it on a Japanese board. Sign your name, place it in a special art frame, and your original work of art is complete. You can take it home, so please display it at home. At the end, enjoy green tea and Japanese sweets, and take a commemorative photo. It will be a wonderful memory for you.
The event will be held on the first floor of a hotel in Shinsaibashi, the center of Osaka. It's very convenient, just 1 minute walk from the subway station.

This is a beginner-friendly sushi making experience in Naha, just off Kokusai Street. Using pre-prepped ingredients like tuna, salmon, shrimp, and egg (subject to season and availability), you’ll learn simple techniques and craft your own nigiri sushi in a relaxed, small-group workshop.

Traditional Kimono Experience in Nagasaki

Sumi-e Ink Painting Suiboku-Ga Workshop in a Japanese Teahouse
Learn about Suiboku-ga, a discipline under the Japanese ink painting art of Sumi-e. This technique incorporates mixing varying levels of water into ink to create texture and depth in the painting.
Held within a Japanese teahouse and led by award-winning calligrapher and artist Rensui, this workshop starts off with an introduction to Suiboku-ga along with a live painting demonstration by Rensui.
