Mount Kilimanjaro 8-Days; Lemosho Route
The eight-day Lemosho route variation is the ideal schedule for this route. On the 8-day Lemosho route, the trek from Barranco to Barafu is broken up into two days, allowing for a short day just prior to the summit attempt. This is important because summit day begins very early, around midnight, so climbers are sleep deprived going into the toughest day on the mountain. By having a short day beforehand, climbers can be better rested.
The eight-day Lemosho route is highly recommended and used by most prominent Kilimanjaro operators.
Kinukamori Waterfalls, Ancient Caves & Cultural Day Tour
Kinukamori is located in Chagga Land in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Its crystal clear water originates in the natural springs of volcanic rocks on Kilimanjaro. You will be able to visit Kinukamori on top and bottom. This picturesque spot is great for swimming or just relaxing and enjoying the refreshing breeze from the waterfall. Starting at 8.30 am a thirty minute drive from Moshi will take us to Marangu Village, where we will begin our short 20 minute hike to Kinukamori Waterfall. Along the way you will pass thru beautiful forest past tall Eucalyptus trees among many others.
7 Day Kilimanjaro Rongai climb
This non-technical Kilimanjaro camping route is the only one to start from the Northern side of the mountain. Rongai approaches the main Kilimanjaro (Kibo) cone from the Northeast which usually is drier (helping avoid rainfall) and descends via the Marangu route on the Southeast. Though we consider this less physically demanding than other routes (no scrambling sections as you get on the southern circuit routes), short treks do not offer acclimatization opportunities and the easier walk may catch up with you at the higher altitudes, however more days spent on the Mountain increase your chance to summit.

This tour will also take you to the Ngorongoro Crater and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in Tanzania, featuring one of the highest concentrations of game and arguably the densest population of predators and carnivores in Africa. Here you will witness an amazing spectacle of African wildlife - inside a self-contained world teeming with animals.
Finally, your African safari tour will also take you to the Tarangire National Park, which features some of the greatest concentration of game in Tanzania - second only to the Ngorongoro Crater - but less crowded and unspoiled - possessing a wild and unkempt beauty.
Private 7-Day Kilimanjaro Climb via Rongai Route
Lying in the rain shadow of Kilimanjaro, the Rongai route is one of the best routes to make the attempt on Kilimanjaro during the rainy season, as it sees substantially less rain than the southern routes.
Starting from the Rongai gate, the route traverses several diverse climate zones, and each produces its own amazing views and experiences. Throughout the early trek, Kilimanjaro looms overhead dramatically and at higher altitudes, you are rewarded with incredible sights finally ending with the 360-degree view from the top of Uhuru Peak.
As the descent is along the more heavily travelled Marangu route this trek offers you the chance to see Mount Kilimanjaro from both sides, and to experience nearly everything this unique and beautiful region has to offer.
Traditional Tanzanian Cooking Class in Moshi with a Local Family
Marissa, her husband William and mother-in-law Shida host you in their simple, modest home. Join this warm and welcoming family in their mud house for an understanding of the local food and culture. Don't leave town without trying their meat stew!
Start by helping Shida grate coconuts using a traditional tool called buzi. Then learn to make ugali, a traditional corn meal dish. Making Ugali is an art - simple but labor intensive, a real treat to learn! Enjoy your meal sitting on benches outdoors with the entire family. Ugali is eaten communal style, with each person picking cake with their hand, rolling it into a ball, and using it to scoop vegetables or stew. A few other dishes you may try are uji (a millet and peanut porridge), beef and green banana stew) and rice with spiced beans. Dishes are cooked in coconut milk and simmered over a wood fire, giving it a distinct and delicious flavor! Located in Tanzania, Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa’s tallest mountain at about 5,895 meters (19,340 feet). It is the largest free-standing mountain rise in the world, meaning it is not part of a mountain range.
Also called a stratovolcano (a term for a very large volcano made of ash, lava and rock), Kilimanjaro is made up of three cones: Kibo, Mawenzi and Shira. Kibo is the summit of the mountain and the tallest of the three volcanic formations. While Mawenzi and Shira are extinct, Kibo is considered dormant and could possibly erupt again. Scientists estimate that the last time it erupted was 360,000 years ago. The highest point on Kibo’s crater rim is called Uhuru, the Swahili word for “freedom.”
