Fortress Night Hike & Snack at a Local Market
The BEST night view of Seoul is waiting for you!
+ series of snacks in a local market
+ dinner at a traditional restaurant (Optional, but inexpensive)
We, Koa & Sam, are outdoor fanatics—and we are probably some of the friendliest people you will meet in Korea. (According to 5,000+ people who came before you)
First stop is a traditional market and it's snack time. Here, we will sample several local snacks. (Some are vegan friendly!)
Our hike will take place along the ancient fortress that was built on Inwangsan mountain about 600 years ago. We'll get to see how stunning Seoul looks from above. We'll sit down at a peak and gaze at the sunset.
The hike lasts about 90 minutes, and we'll reach a peak at 240 meters (780 feet).
Then head over to a legendary restaurant in a lantern-lit alley. There is no better way to end your trip than devouring homemade-style dishes along with some rice wines. (Vegan available)
Seoul Mountain Hike: Temples, Folklore & Traditional Meal
This hike starts at Gupabal Station and climbs through pine forest and mountain passes to a handful of Buddhist temples with roots in Korea's shamanic traditions. Along the way you'll hear about the monks who lived here, the spirits believed to still watch over the peaks, and a few ghost stories locals still tell about these mountains after dark.
The hike ends the way Koreans traditionally end one: with hasanju, a meal and a drink at a mountainside restaurant once you're back down. Choose between chicken stew with mountain roots and vegetables or a vegetarian bibimbap, paired with makgeolli, beer, or something non-alcoholic if you'd rather skip the drink.

Spirited Garden Jeju: Korea’s Only 60-Year Garden
A Garden Where You Meet Yourself and Reflect on Life
Spirited Garden is more than a beautiful garden to admire. It is a place where you can slow down, linger, and spend time with nature—discovering your own questions and finding your own answers along the way. This garden stands upon the life’s work of one person who devoted more than sixty years to cultivating it in harmony with nature, never giving up. The spirit of reflection found here is not born from theory, but from a life lived, discovered through the garden, and carried back into everyday life. Spirited Garden does not offer ready-made answers. Instead, it invites you to reconnect with yourself through nature, reflect on your life, and regain the strength to move forward with renewed clarity and purpose. For this reason, Spirited Garden aspires to be more than a beautiful landscape. It is a living cultural heritage where people return to themselves.
A garden is not merely a place—it is time.
Walk slowly.
