There are many attractions here - the Treasury with the royal regalia, Museum Three Crowns about the castle's medieval history, and not least the Representation floors with the pompous parade rooms. We start directly from our office at the edge of the reserve and walk into the heart of the wilderness. While the reserve is home to deer and other animals, sightings are not guaranteed.
The hike includes some off-trail sections, adapted to the group’s abilities and weather conditions. Halfway through, enjoy a campfire-cooked lunch in a secluded spot. During fire restrictions, typically in August, we use gas stoves instead.
After hiking approximately 10–12 km, we finish the tour with a short, 20-minute public bus ride back to Slussen Subway Station, where you can continue your day in Stockholm.
