It is a long, narrow ridge that rises sharply above the surrounding landscape, forming a distinctive "comb-like" appearance due to its jagged, layered rock formations. This ridge is part of the larger Colorado Plateau and is known for its striking beauty, historical significance, and unique geology.
The River House Ruin is an important archaeological site. It is a well-preserved cliff dwelling that dates back to the Ancestral Puebloan culture, which flourished in the region between approximately 600 and 1300 AD.
Notable for its well-preserved structures, which include multi-room dwellings and a kiva (a ceremonial, round structure used by the Ancestral Puebloans). The ruin provides insight into the construction techniques and social organization of the people who lived there. The site contains rock art and other artifacts, offering valuable information about the lives of the inhabitants.

Wire Pass is mainly a flat and narrow slot section in the Grand Staircase-Escalante. There is potential for amazing and soft color in the walls of Wire Pass and would be interesting for any photographer. Petroglyphs are located in this canyon and date back to 1000 AD. A great choice for young children due to the high canyon walls. This is a shared tour for up to 20 people.
